College Priorities

  • Develop strategies to increase enrollment in academic transfer programs, including opportunities to engage K-12 students.
  • Use the Curriculum and Program Review process to document the implementation of equity-minded pedagogy and targeted instructional interventions that demonstrably close achievement gaps for students in transfer programs.
  • Review and update the diversity course list, including revising the criteria.
  • Equip faculty with instructional strategies and support resources to bridge the college-readiness gap for Running Start students.
  • Develop strategies to support transfer advising and related activities, including professional development, cross-divisional collaboration, external partnerships, and the revival of the Transfer Club. 
  • Explore options to lower barriers for all students, including offering online FAFSA workshops, ensuring high-quality online educational offerings, providing online office hours, developing contingency plans for students who are unable to come to campus, and posting visual representations on campus to ensure all feel welcome. 
  • Cultivate a dynamic arts culture that enhances student success, community engagement, and regional creative vitality.
