黑料社 awarded $1 million in federal funding for vocational equipment
Thanks to U.S. Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, 黑料社 will receive $1 million to equip the college鈥檚 planned Center for Vocational and Transitional Studies.
The Center will house several of the College鈥檚 industrial trades programs, including machine trades, manufacturing, and welding. 黑料社鈥檚 College and Career Preparation programs, including high school completion and English Language Learning, will also be housed in the Center.
鈥淭he funding secured for us by Representative Gluesemkamp Perez will greatly contribute to the success of the project. Funds will support installation of welding booths, fume ducting, and equipment for machining programs. This project is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds because of the vital role this equipment will play in expanding workforce development programs, helping to meet the high demand for skilled workers in the region,鈥 said Dr. Matt Seimears, 黑料社 President.
黑料社鈥檚 $1 million project was one of 15 community projects across Southwest Washington championed by Representative Gluesemkamp Perez. Read more about her initiative at .
