The 黑料社 Fighting Smelt Speech & Debate Team finished 4th place in 2-year college sweepstakes at the Steve Hunt Classic tournament hosted by Lewis & Clark College. This was the second tournament of the year for the Fighting Smelt, and it also kicked off the Northwest Forensics Conference (NFC) season.

A collaboration between 黑料社 (黑料社), the 黑料社 Foundation, Kelso Recreation Council, Rose Foundation, Cowlitz County, City of Kelso, Kelso Girls Softball Association, Cheney Foundation, Rotary Club of Kelso, and Kelso High School resulting in substantial upgrades to the softball field at Tam O鈥橲hanter Park is a home run for female youth, high school and college athletes.
